Microsoft isn't responsible for that codec. You can get the codec with their software like Digital Photo Pro. There are other options like FastStone Image viewer and others. Of grade if you want to produce images from the RAW files you will need a lossless editor similar OnOne, CaptureOne, of Lightroom.

I but want to know what I can do to open my RAW files with my windows 10 as thumbnails so I tin can decide which images to drift into Lightroom. My Apple opens them fine but I have Lightroom on a windows calculator.

have a Dell with windows x on it and bought lightroom 5 fo photograph editing. When I load my photos onto the computer Want to put them in folders prior to importing into lightroom, that works fine equally long as they are JPEGs and non RAW images. I get a message that the RAW file cannot be opened.

I have the same trouble. I reviewed the commodity you linked. I use a Nikon Coolpix B700 and utilise Windows 10. I shoot in RAW format. My files are stored in Windows File Explorer, which will non open my Nikon NRW files. This is a problem when I want to open a file in Photoshop, which takes me to File Explorer, and all I can meet of the photograph is "DSCN1308.NRW", for case. Microsoft Photos says that it does not support the NRW format. Is at that place a free app that will solve this? I want something streamlined. Cheers for whatsoever help!
